States of Alderney - Waste Disposal & RecyclingCall the States Works Dept. Office on 822408 if any bins are overflowing or need emptying. We don’t provide general waste bins except the large 1100l bins at communal sites. We do provide the recycling bins which are changed weekly. Any requests for large waste removals or extra recycling bins to be made through AHA who will contact States works and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and arrange extra bins if they can be located at the requesting site.The bins will be clearly labelled as follows:
- Red bins food and drinks cans only.
- Yellow bins for all glass items [bottles etc]
- Grey Bins for all Plastic recycling items [including Tetra Paks, Crisps, Pet food pouches, Wine box pouches]
- Blue or Green labelled for Cardboard [no general waste, wood or items that should go in the other recycling bins]
- Green Bins for general household waste [none of the above items or items that should go to the Impot]
